Τhe second national workshop, organized by the Austrian Cluster and more specifically GLOBAL2000, took place on October 25, 2023. This workshop was a blend of physical and virtual participation in a hybrid mode. The event drew a diverse audience, with 31 participants engaging both in-person (24) and online (7), representing a total of 19 organizations from across Europe.
The workshop consisted of two separate phases. The initial phase featured presentations by esteemed speakers, focusing on the Pestnu project. Specifically, the discussions centered around the complex aspects of pesticide use and policies, highlighting their impact on human life.
The latter part of the workshop comprised two separate roundtable discussions. These sessions delved into a range of critical topics such as identifying barriers to pesticide reduction, exploring alternative practices and technologies, and strategizing ways to enhance sustainability within the food production sector.
The collaborative atmosphere fostered by the diverse group of participants made this workshop a hub of insightful dialogue and shared expertise.
