THE PRIME MINISTER OF GREECE, MR. KYRIACOS MITSOTAKIS VISITED THE UTH FACILITIES AND GOT INFORMED ABOUT PESTNU!

The Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriacos Mitsotakis visited the facilities of the University of Thessaly (UTH) on Friday, 20th of May, 2022.

The visit of the Prime Minister of Greece to the Pilot Greenhouse Park of the University of Thessaly has been an honor. Mr. Kyriacos Mitsotakis received a warm welcome by the dean of the University of Thessaly Prof. Zisis Mamouris, the head of the Pilot Greenhouse Park, Prof. Nicolaos Katsoulas and a team of professors and accredited members of UTH. 

Prof. Katsoulas, who is also the Director of the Laboratory of Agricultural Constructions and Environmental Control of UTH, offered a tour at the Pilot Greenhouse Park to the Prime Minister and presented all the high technology greenhouse facilities that the park is equipped of.  Prof. Katsoulas along with Mr. Nikos Fragakis from IKH, presented to the Prime Minister PestNu project, its innovations and its projected impact, as well as the robot which is being developed in the context of the project.

It has been a pleasure to welcome and inform the Prime Minister of Greece about PestNu, a Horizon2020, Green Deal project. This visit reveals the effort and the value that the government gives to Research and Innovation as well as to the sustainable Agriculture in Greece.
