We are thrilled to announce that the PestNu project was presented by the University Of Thessaly at the International Fair in Thessaloniki, Greece. The fair is being held between 7 to 15 September, 2024.
This year’s Thessaloniki International Fair focuses on the country’s modern challenges and critical sectors of the economy, emphasizing new technological tools, innovation, and sustainable development.
The University of Thessaly, within the context of PestNu project, evaluated smart digital technologies (nutrient analyzers), data analysis methodologies, artificial intelligence solutions (robotic insect traps and robots for detecting and spraying plant diseases in greenhouses), and decision-support processes for automated greenhouse management.
Additionally, agroecological and organic practices were tested, such as automated greenhouse waste recycling systems and on-site production of biofertilizers from runoff in hydroponic and aquaponic systems through an automated runoff recycling system.
