PestNu partners, CERTH and University Of Thessaly have made a significant contribution to the upcoming “Agricultural Engineering challenges in existing and new agroecosystems (AgEng) 2024” Conference. The conference will take place on July 1-4, 2024, in Athens, Greece.
A poster, titled “Implementation of the circular economy concept in greenhouse production systems: Microalgae and biofertiliser production using soilless crops’ drainage nutrient solution” will be presented on July 2nd, 2024.
The authors of the poster are: Nikolaos Katsoulas, Sofia Faliagka, Georgios Kountrias, Eleni Dimitriou, and Eleftheria Maria Pechlivani.
The objective of this poster is to facilitate the on-site production of biofertilisers from agricultural wastewaters. This will be achieved through the implementation of a robust, automated drainage recycling system, which utilizes an innovative enzymatic hydrolysis procedure.
