PestNu co-organized a highly impactful online symposium focused on supporting the transition towards pesticide reduction across Europe. The event held on online on Friday 28th of June 2024 and attracked 150 participants.
The symposium emphasized the crucial role played by collaborative Green Deal projects -like PestNu- in reducing the use and the risk of chemical pesticides. The participants had the opportunity to attend presentations showcasing recent research results and the significant impact achieved by these initiatives across Europe. The event supported the Green Deal projects: Sprint, IPM Decisions, Virtigation, BIOVEXO, and IPM Works
Dr. Eleftheria Maria Pechlivani, project’s coordinator, presented PestNu project as well as its innovative technologies. Additionally, she talked about project’s achievements and future plans.
The main goal of this symposium was to unite practitioners, researchers, and policy-makers to identify common ground and develop policy recommendations for the future of sustainable pesticide use in Europe.
