Hortamira S.c.l., LoI-signed member of PestNu, who is one of the largest industries in Spain for the production and commercialization of different varieties of vegetables and citrus fruits, welcomed to their facilities the project coordinator, Dr Ria Pechlivani (CERTH), along her colleague Nikolaos Giakoumoglou, Tilamur’s CEO Mariano Vidal, CDTA’s representatives Pedro Mínguez and Joaquín Castejón, and Hortamira’s manager Juan Carlos Madrid, on the 6th of July 2023.
Hortamira has got more than 300 associated farmers and holds modern facilities, incorporating the latest smart and automated technologies (automation, robotics, traceability, smart shorting, RFID card, etc.) to guarantee high quality products to consumers.
PestNu partners discussed with Hortamira’s management board regarding their contribution to support the dissemination of project’s outcomes to their associated farmers and provide advisory for project’s technologies to motivate farmers towards their adaptation, since Hortamira provides services to its members, among which an important technical support, ranging from experimentation and testing, and control to advice constant during cultivation.
